Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, pass through immigration and customs formalities. Outside the terminal, your private English-speaking chauffeur will welcome you and escort you to your hotel in Muscat. Take the day to relax and unwind after your journey. Overnight stay at Intercity Muscat or a similar 4-star hotel. (No meals included)
After breakfast, begin your journey by visiting the architectural marvel of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, known for its pristine white marble, intricate Islamic designs, the world's second-largest Persian carpet, and an 8-ton Swarovski crystal chandelier adorned with over 1,100 bulbs. From there, head to the historic town of Nizwa, once the capital of Oman and still its cultural heart. Explore the mighty Nizwa Fort with its towering circular battlements and stroll through the traditional souq famous for silver jewelry, spices, and handicrafts. Continue to Birkat Al Mouz, a picturesque village nestled in lush date plantations, offering a glimpse of rural Omani life. Ascend the Hajar Mountains to reach Jabal Akhdar – the Green Mountain – perched 2,000 meters above sea level, known for its rose gardens, pomegranate orchards, and cool mountain air. Explore the charming mountain villages of Saiq, Wadi Bani Habib (with abandoned mud-brick homes), and Al Ain before checking in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Sama Hotel Jabal Akhdar. After breakfast, journey from the mountains to the desert, stopping first at the stunning Wadi Bani Khalid. This emerald-green oasis is framed by date palms and dramatic rock formations, offering an inviting opportunity to relax, swim, or take photos in the natural pools. In the afternoon, continue to the vast golden dunes of Wahiba Sands (Sharqiyah Sands). This sea of sand, sculpted by the wind into waves reaching heights of up to 120 meters, offers a surreal landscape. Enjoy a thrilling off-road drive across the dunes, with photo stops along the way, and take in a breathtaking sunset from atop a dune. Later, head to your desert camp for dinner under a starry sky. After an early breakfast, embark on an adventurous desert crossing through the untouched Wahiba Sands. The journey through undulating golden dunes, deep valleys, and endless vistas provides extraordinary photo opportunities. Exit the desert near Qihayd, a quiet coastal village inhabited by Bedouin fishermen, and continue along the coast to the Al Ruwais area. As you travel further, you will reach a stunning natural region near the Pink Lake, a shallow saline lagoon known for its surreal hue and the flocks of flamingos and migratory birds it attracts. Here, in the midst of untouched nature, set up your wild camping experience in cozy igloo tents, surrounded by serenity and surreal beauty. Overnight wild camping at Pink Lake. (Breakfast, Dinner)
After a camp breakfast, travel north along a picturesque coastal route skirting the Arabian Sea, passing through small Bedouin fishing villages and traditional Omani settlements. Stop at Al Khabbah to marvel at the dramatic cliffs that plunge into the sea. By afternoon, arrive in Ras Al Jinz and check in to your eco-lodge, perfectly situated near the turtle reserve. After dinner, embark on a guided nighttime excursion to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, a protected nesting site where you may witness the rare and touching spectacle of green turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. After breakfast, proceed to Sur, a coastal town once known for its shipbuilding and maritime trade with East Africa. Visit the famous dhow factory where traditional wooden boats are still crafted by hand using centuries-old methods. Explore the Ayjah quarter with its scenic lagoon and historic lighthouse. Continue north to the remarkable Bimmah Sinkhole, a deep natural depression filled with emerald-green water formed by the collapse of a limestone cavern. Then drive through the rugged route to Wadi Arbaeen, a hidden paradise of crystal-clear pools and waterfalls set amidst dramatic cliffs. In the late afternoon, return to Muscat and check into your hotel for your final night. Overnight stay at Intercity Muscat or similar. (Breakfast)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Depending on your flight timing, your chauffeur will transfer you to Muscat International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Omani adventure. (Breakfast)
