Embark on an unforgettable journey through Oman with our Oman Odyssey: Culture, Nature & Camping – 6 Nights / 7 Days program. This adventure blends the perfect mix of history, culture, nature, and outdoor experiences, giving you a true taste of the Sultanate’s diverse treasures. From the bustling capital of Muscat to the breathtaking heights of Jebel Shams, from the golden dunes of Wahiba Sands to the turquoise waters of Wadis and the serene beauty of Fins Beach, every day offers a new discovery. Along the way, you will explore ancient forts, traditional villages, vibrant souqs, and hidden natural wonders. With a combination of hotel comfort and authentic wild camping under starry skies, this journey promises both relaxation and adventure, making it an ideal experience for travelers who seek to connect deeply with Oman’s rich culture and pristine landscapes.
Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by Afaq Travel & Tourism’s chauffeur and transferred comfortably to your hotel for check-in. Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM, after which you can relax and settle in. Your overnight stay will be at Ramada Encore Muscat.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at 8:30 AM to begin your mountain adventure. Your first stop will be Misfat Al Abriyeen, a charming village surrounded by terraced date plantations, ancient houses, and a ruined watchtower. Next, you will visit Al Hamra, one of the oldest villages in Oman, with clay houses dating back over 400 years. After lunch, the journey continues through rugged mountains to Jebel Shams, “The Mountain of Sun,” standing tall at 3,009 meters. From the summit, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Oman’s Grand Canyon before dinner and overnight camping under the stars.
After breakfast at the campsite, the journey continues to Bahla, one of Oman’s oldest towns and a former 12th-century capital. You’ll stop for photos at the UNESCO-listed Bahla Fort (entry subject to renovation status) and explore the town’s pottery traditions. From here, you will visit Jabreen Castle, built in the late 17th century and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful castles in Oman. In the afternoon, you will drive to Nizwa, Oman’s cultural capital, for an overnight stay at Intercity Hotel Nizwa.
Following an early breakfast, the day begins with a visit to Nizwa Fort, known for its impressive circular cannon tower, followed by a stroll through the bustling Nizwa Souq, where you can shop for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. The adventure then takes you to Wahiba Sands Desert, where you will enjoy a thrilling 4WD dune drive across towering sand dunes. As the sun sets, you’ll witness a magical desert landscape before relaxing around a campfire with dinner and an overnight stay camping in Wahiba Sands.
After breakfast, the journey continues toward the coastal town of Sur and into the Quriyat region. You will explore Wadi Tiwi, a lush gorge surrounded by banana and date plantations, before visiting Wadi Shab. Here you will cross by boat and enjoy a 40–45-minute hike (each way) through rocky terrain to reach its famous natural pools for swimming. (This hike is not recommended for elderly travelers or those with mobility issues.) Afterward, you will proceed to Fins Beach, one of Oman’s most scenic beaches, where your guide will prepare dinner and set up camp for an overnight stay by the sea.
Enjoy breakfast by the beach before heading to the stunning Bimmah Sinkhole, a turquoise limestone crater perfect for swimming and photos. From here, you will continue to Wadi Arbyeen, a hidden oasis with natural freshwater pools and unspoiled landscapes. After spending time exploring and swimming, you will drive back to Muscat for a relaxing evening and your final overnight stay at Ramada Encore Muscat.
After breakfast, you will check out from the hotel (standard time 12:00 noon). Your chauffeur will transfer you to Muscat International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your Oman Odyssey of culture, nature, and camping to a memorable close.
During this 6-night, 7-day journey, accommodation will be a mix of comfortable 4-star hotels and authentic wild camping experiences. On the first night, you will stay at Ramada Encore Muscat (4)* in a standard room with breakfast included. The second night will be spent in wild camping at Jebel Shams in an igloo tent with breakfast and dinner. On the third night, you will check into Intercity Hotel Nizwa (4)* in a standard room with breakfast. The fourth and fifth nights will once again be spent in wild camping at Wahiba Sands and Fins Beach, both in igloo tents with breakfast and dinner provided. Finally, on the sixth night, you will return to Ramada Encore Muscat (4)* for a comfortable stay in a standard room with breakfast.
On the final day, after breakfast at the hotel, you will check out by 12:00 noon and be transferred to Muscat International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your Oman Odyssey journey.
The package cost is based on the number of paying participants and is calculated on a twin-sharing basis. Rates will vary depending on group size, with options available for 1 Pax, 2 Pax, and 4 Pax. Final prices will be updated upon confirmation of booking.

In the event of a cancellation, charges will apply as follows: cancellations made between 21 and 12 days prior to the arrival date will incur a fee of 50% of the total tour cost, while cancellations made within 12 days of the arrival date, including last-minute cancellations and no-shows, will be charged 100% of the tour cost. No refunds will be provided for unused services once the tour has commenced, and any applicable refunds will be processed within 14 working days of the cancellation confirmation.
